generally regarded as one of the most important decisions a person makes in their life; it should be done with the assistance and guidance of a qualified real estate professional.
Remember, you don’t buy or sell a home every day…it’s good to know someone who does.
Understanding how to successfully buy and sell real estate is a fine art with many details and legalities. The designations I carry should having meaning for you as they will contribute to making your real estate experience as pleasant and uncomplicated as possible.
Those Designations: What They are and What They Mean for You
MRP® - Military Relocation Professional
A REALTOR® with the MRP certification understands that when military staff and their families relocate, the services of a real estate professional who understands their needs and timetables makes the transfer easier, faster, and less stressful. The MRP certification focuses on educating real estate professionals about working with current and former military service members which helps their clients find the housing solutions that best suit their needs and take full advantage of military benefits and support that are available.
Service members and veterans who hire REALTORS® with NAR’s MRP certification will have increased confidence that the REALTOR® will understand their specific real estate requirements and processes as well as understand available finance benefits and support.
ABR® — Accredited Buyer Representative
All ABR designees have completed and passed the stringent qualification requirements of the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) and provided extensive documentation of their buyer agency experience.
CRS® — Certified Residential Specialist
This organization serves top-producing residential sales agents through a network of nationwide referral opportunities, along with extensive sales and marketing support. The CRS® designation is awarded only to experienced Realtors who complete advanced training in listing and selling, and meet rigorous production requirements.
e-PRO® — Internet Professional
This is a revolutionary training program to certify Real Estate Agents as Internet Professionals. The National Association of Realtors® is the first major trade group to offer certification for Internet professionalism. It teaches Realtors how to utilize their people skills into doing more business on the Internet.
GRI® — Graduate REALTOR Institute
For Realtors involved in residential real estate who choose to gain a more solid base of information for their practice thereby enabling them to better serve their customers.
SRES® — Senior Real Estate Specialists®
This designation identifies members of the Senior Advantage Real Estate Council (SAREC®) who have successfully completed its education program along with other prerequisites. By earning this designation, a Realtor has demonstrated the necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel senior clients through major financial and lifestyle decisions associated with all real estate transactions.
RECS® — Real Estate Cyberspace Society®
Real Estate Professionals receive a distinct competitive advantage when they join the Real Estate CyberSpace Society. Society members leverage their effectiveness, visibility, professionalism and earnings by using the latest up to the minute networking tools, strategies and services.
CLHMS® — Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist®
